A Proper Flat Tyre Repair, Done Right

Swapping a tube takes ten minutes in the right hands — but a flat tyre is often a symptom, not just a problem. We find the cause. Whether it's a piece of glass still lodged in the tyre, worn rim tape exposing a spoke nipple, or a valve that's been compromised, we check for it before we pack up.

Every flat tyre repair includes a full inspection of the tyre casing, rim tape, and valve. If the tyre itself is damaged beyond reuse, we'll let you know before proceeding — no surprise charges, no guesswork.

We carry a range of tube sizes and valve types — Presta and Schrader — so whether you're riding a 700c road bike, a 29er trail bike, or a 20" kids' cruiser, we've likely got the right tube on the van.

What's Included in a Flat Tyre Repair

A thorough repair, not just a tube swap. Every booking includes the following as standard.

Tube replacement

Inner tube removed and replaced with a new tube matched to your tyre size and valve type — Presta or Schrader. Standard and heavy-duty options available.

Tyre casing inspection

Full inspection of the tyre interior and exterior for embedded glass, wire, thorns, or casing cuts that would cause a repeat puncture — a step many riders skip.

Rim tape check

Rim tape inspection for bubbles, gaps, and alignment over spoke holes — a common cause of repeat pinch flats that's easy to miss and easy to fix on the spot.

Correct inflation

Tyre inflated to the correct PSI for your tyre and riding style using a calibrated floor pump — not a CO₂ cartridge guess. Road, MTB, gravel, and eBike pressures all differ.

Valve compatibility check

Valve stem inspected for damage and confirmed compatible with your rim. Valve extenders fitted where needed for deep-section rims — no extra charge.

30-day workmanship guarantee

All work is guaranteed for 30 days. If the same issue reoccurs due to our workmanship, we return and fix it — no questions, no charge.

We Carry Tubes for Every Bike

Our vans stock a broad range of tube sizes and valve types. Most repairs are completed from stock — no waiting for parts.

Road & Gravel Bikes

700c Presta valve tubes — 23mm to 50mm width. GP5000, Continental, and aftermarket options in stock.

Mountain Bikes (MTB)

26", 27.5", and 29" tubes, Presta and Schrader, including plus-size widths (2.4"–3.0"). Tubeless conversion also available.

Hybrid & Commuter Bikes

700c and 26" commuter tubes, Presta and Schrader. We stock heavy-duty thorn-resistant options for regular commuters.

eBikes

Standard and reinforced eBike tubes — eBike tyres run at higher loads and often need specific tubes. We carry the right options for Bosch, Shimano, and Bafang-equipped bikes.

Cargo Bikes

Cargo bike tubes including 20", 24", and 26" wide-load options. Heavy carrying loads require reinforced tubes — we carry them.

Kids' Bikes

12", 16", 20", and 24" tubes for kids' bikes. Schrader valve standard. Quick repair — gets them back riding the same afternoon.

Flat Tyre Repair FAQs

Can you come to me if I'm stuck somewhere with a flat?
Yes — if you're at home, at work, or parked up somewhere accessible, we can come to you. We do ask that you can stay with the bike while we work. If you're mid-ride in a location that's hard to access, the best option is to walk the bike somewhere accessible (a car park, a café, a friend's place) and then book from there. For regular riders, we also strongly recommend keeping a spare tube and basic levers in your saddle bag for roadside emergencies.
Do you carry tubes for my tyre size?
+
We stock the most common tube sizes across all bike types — road (700c), MTB (26", 27.5", 29"), hybrid, commuter, and kids' bikes in 12", 16", 20", and 24". Both Presta and Schrader valve types are in stock. For unusual sizes (e.g. 650b, 24" adult performance), we recommend confirming when booking so your mechanic can check stock before arriving. eBike-specific reinforced tubes are also carried.
How long does a flat tyre repair take?
+
Most flat tyre repairs take 20–30 minutes on site, including the full tyre and rim tape inspection. If additional issues are found — damaged tyre casing, rim tape replacement, spoke issues — your mechanic will let you know and quote before proceeding. Complex repairs can take up to an hour, but this is uncommon for a straightforward puncture repair.
Should I repair the tube or replace it?
+
We always replace rather than patch. A patch repair is a temporary fix — the adhesive degrades, the patch can lift, and a patched tube sitting in a warm van or garage can fail unpredictably. For the cost difference (minor), a new tube is always the right call. We carry quality tubes from reliable brands and include the tube in our repair pricing — there's no separate parts charge for a standard replacement.
Do you service tubeless tyres?
+
Yes. For tubeless tyres that have failed to self-seal, we can re-seat the tyre, top up sealant, and reinflate. If the hole is too large for sealant to manage, we can install a tube as a temporary fix and discuss a full tubeless re-setup. We carry tubeless sealant and can also perform full tubeless conversions for compatible wheels. Just mention "tubeless" when booking so your mechanic brings the right kit.
Is there a call-out fee on top of the repair price?
+
No. The pricing shown includes everything — labour, a standard replacement tube, and the full tyre inspection. There are no call-out fees, no travel surcharges within our service areas, and no surprise charges added at the end. If anything beyond a standard repair is needed (damaged tyre, rim tape replacement), your mechanic will quote it and get your approval before proceeding.
